Students completing this course will gain the skills and knowledge required to provide an advanced first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.
This unit a applies to persons who may be required to use specialised equipment to provide resuscitation or oxygen therapy in a range of complex situations, including community and workplace settings.
The unit also applies to all persons who may be required to provide an advanced first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
Upon completion of this course, the following unit(s) will be issued by ABC Licence Training Pty LTD – RTO 3399
HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
HLTAID010 – Provide basic emergency life support
HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
HLTAID014 – Provide advanced First Aid
HLTAID015 – Provide advanced resuscitation using Oxygen Therapy

Pre-requisites: The prerequisite unit required for entry into this course is HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid. Learners will require English language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills.
